Got the phone call this morning: Axes of Ego is opening the Kispiox Valley Music Festival.
7pm, Friday, July 23.
What I hear through the grape vine is that they want to start off right with a good, solid, rockin’ band. Well, that’s us.
We’re playing the Midsummer Music Festival in Smithers, BC. We’re scheduled for Saturday, June 26, stage 3 at 2:15 PM.
One more practice and then we’re ready to rock.
Had some fun at the Relay for Life event last night and got some good feedback (the verbal kind ;-) ) despite a technical difficulty or two. We ran out of time and didn’t get to do “Raise a Little Hell” and “Roll On Down the Highway". So it goes.
The next confirmed appearance will be at the Midsummer Music Festival in Smithers, B.C., Saturday, June 26th, Stage 3, 2:15-3:00pm.
Besides Midsummer, there might be another gig in June but I’ll wait for confirmation before posting more about it.
Steve got a call last week. Apparently, a band backed out of the Relay for Life event in Smithers and someone suggested us as a replacement. So, yeah, we’re in. Had a practice this evening and we’re having another one tomorrow night, so we’ll be ready.
We’re scheduled to play for 45 minutes, starting at 7:15 pm, Saturday, May 29, 2010. The event is being held on the grounds of Chandler Park Middle School in Smithers.
We hammered out a set list at practice tonight:
Bad to the Bone
Tush
Secret Agent Man
Radar Love
Diamond Dogs
All Right Now
Jumpin’ Jack Flash
Seven Nation Army
Suffragette City
Raise A Little Hell
Roll On Down the Highway
Wild Horses
If we don’t have time to do the whole set, we’ll skip ahead and finish with Wild Horses.
