After last Saturday, Nov. 23

Tuesday, November 26th, 2013

Had a relatively small crowd at last Saturday’s private party at the Lions Hall in New Hazelton – smaller organization, smaller crowd – but they seemed to have a good time and it was fun to reconnect with some friends I hadn’t seen for a while.  In true Hazelton style, a few die-hards danced to most songs but they only packed the dance floor when they knew we were almost done.  It’s always fun to be asked to play an encore, of course.

This was our second gig with the new line up.  Only a couple of glitches – fewer than last time.  We’re really looking forward to next Saturday’s private party out in Smithers.  It should be a bigger crowd and, oddly enough, we seem to generally get a warmer reception when we play out of town.

Hazelton crowds seem to mostly prefer canned music.  Much love to those who buck that trend!

Oh, and Iggy, I’ll get back to you on whether or not we’ve learned anything by Dr. Dre  😉

Firefighters Benefit Dance

Friday, November 8th, 2013

We’re having a busy November, getting our new members up to speed for three gigs this month.

First a firefighters benefit dance on the 16th at the Lions Hall in New Hazelton.  9 pm to whenever, with a DJ taking over at midnight.

Then, two private parties, one on the 23rd, at the Lions Hall again, and another in Smithers the following weekend.

Good times!
