After RTNB 2013

Monday, May 20th, 2013

First off, it is impressive that Melanie Smoke was able to make this event happen in as short a time as she did.  She had help but she was the driving force.

We were privileged to be the closing musical act of the weekend and it was fun to play for a home town crowd for the first time in ages.  It was great to get all the good feedback from local people who hadn’t heard us before.  We love to play anywhere but playing close to home is the best.

Murray Porter showed himself to be a generous human being.  He willingly performed more often than he was scheduled for and he stayed around to watch other performers and chat with whomever sought his attention.

It was a really good weekend.  Here’s hoping for an even better RTNB 2014!

Rock the North Benefit Jam

Tuesday, May 14th, 2013

According to the most recent posted schedule (still subject to revision) for the Rock the North Benefit Jam, we’ll be the last act, right before Melanie’s closing comments. We’re scheduled to play from 8:15 – 9 pm on Sunday, May 19.

Really looking forward to this.  It’s a really good cause and it’s our first home town performance in a long, long time.

(If that changes, I’ll edit this post accordingly.)
